JARED'S STORY

From Service to Struggle
to Purpose

For nearly 30 years, Jared McCord dedicated his life to serving others. What he didn't realize was that while helping everyone else, he was slowly losing himself.

Through years of service, personal challenges, faith, and healing, God transformed his pain into a purpose greater than he ever imagined.

But God wasn't done with his story.

A LIFE OF SERVICE

Jared began his law enforcement career in 1995 with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office.

Over the next three decades, he served in leadership roles throughout Oklahoma, working with communities, universities, and correctional facilities. He built a reputation for service, integrity, leadership, and helping others through some of life's most difficult situations.

For years, he was focused on taking care of everyone else.

But he wasn't taking care of himself.

MY STORY IN MY OWN WORDS

Watch Jared share his testimony of service, struggle, faith, recovery, and purpose.

This candid conversation explores the experiences that shaped his life and the lessons that ultimately led to the creation of YANA Crew Ministries.

THE TURNING POINT

For years, Jared believed that asking for help was a sign of weakness.

Then everything changed.

The trauma, stress, and emotional weight he had carried throughout his career eventually caught up with him. He found himself battling PTSD, anxiety, and depression while trying to continue serving others.

What felt like the end of his story became the beginning of a new chapter.

Asking for help became one of the strongest decisions of his life.

THE ROAD TO HEALING

Healing didn't happen overnight.

Through faith, counseling, support, and God's grace, Jared began the long journey of recovery.

He learned that healing requires honesty, humility, and the courage to face what has been buried for years.

What started as personal recovery became something much bigger.

Healing led to purpose.

WHAT MATTERS MOST

Family. Faith. Purpose.

Every badge, promotion, and achievement eventually taught Jared one important lesson:

What matters most is the people God has placed in your life.

His wife, daughter, family, faith, and community became the foundation that helped him rebuild and move forward.

They continue to inspire the message he shares today.

YOU ARE NEVER ALONE.

No matter what you've been through.
No matter what you're carrying.
No matter how alone you may feel.

There is hope. There is healing. There is purpose.
